ZOTAC Shows New GeForce RTX 5090 ArcticStorm AIO and Low-Profile RTX 5060 at Computex 2025

We stopped by ZOTAC at the Computex 2025 show as the company previously hinted the return of the ArcticStorm Series, in the form of the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 ArcticStorm AIO. In addition to this flagship liquid cooled GeForce RTX 5090, ZOTAC is also working on a low-profile GeForce RTX 5060, which could be quite popular for small form-factor builds.

The star of the show is definitely the Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 ArcticStorm AIO graphics card, as this will be positioned as the flagship graphics card in ZOTAC's lineup, featuring an all-in-one liquid cooling with 360 mm radiator with three 120 mm RGB fans and SPECTRA 2.0 ARGB lighting, Infinity Mirror design, dual BIOS, and metal backplate. It is a 2.2-slot design and while the specifications are still not finalized, we expect a decent factory-overclock. ZOTAC is also showing off a low-profile GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, meant for SFF systems and should be compatible with most, if not all PC cases. It is a part of ZOTAC's SOLID Series lineup, takes up two slots, needs a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, has two DisplayPort and one HDMI output, and features a three-fan design. Bear in mind that ZOTAC also has full-height single-fan ITX-ready GeForce RTX 5060, but low-profile graphics cards are not that common these days.

ZOTAC Showcases New Handhelds and Mini PCs at Computex 2025

ZOTAC made a notable impression at Computex 2025 by unveiling a range of compact gaming and AI-ready machines combining high performance and tiny footprints. The highlight was the second-generation ZOTAC Zone handheld prototype, now powered by AMD's top-tier Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU. Equipped with Radeon 890M graphics, the Zone achieves smooth 1080p gameplay on its 7-inch AMOLED display, which offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of brightness. Despite its size, the device packs either 24 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory alongside a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD to ensure rapid load times and efficient multitasking.

For wireless connectivity, ZOTAC has included Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, dual USB4 ports, and a microSD slot. A built-in kickstand adds flexibility to handheld play, and Hall-effect joysticks, precise triggers, and twin trackpads provide a control scheme designed for accuracy. A 48.5 Wh battery that should support extended gaming sessions is powering all this. ZOTAC also previewed its Manjaro Linux distribution on the Zone, featuring a dedicated handheld interface and Wine-based compatibility for Windows titles.

PNY Shows Chrome-Plated, Jensen-Signed GPUs at Computex 2025

US Senators Push to Geotrack High-End GPUs in New Chip Security Bill

US lawmakers are moving forward with a proposal requiring high-performance graphics cards and AI processors to carry built-in geotracking technology to keep sensitive chips out of hostile hands. Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas introduced the Chip Security Act on May 12, 2025. Under this legislation, the Commerce Department would have the authority to mandate location-verification features in any device subject to US export controls, with manufacturers given six months after enactment to comply. The bill applies to a broad set of products classified under export control classification numbers 3A090, 4A090, 4A003.z, and 3A001.z. That includes everything from advanced AI accelerators and rack-scale servers to certain gaming graphics cards like NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5090. Manufacturers would be required to embed hardware or firmware capable of reporting each device's physical location back to a centralized registry maintained by the Commerce Department.

Exporters must also notify the Bureau of Industry and Security immediately if a unit is diverted, tampered with, or appears at an unauthorized location. To keep pace with evolving security threats, the legislation calls for a joint one-year study by the Commerce Department and the Department of Defense on potential new tracking and safeguard mechanisms. Following that, the two departments would conduct annual reviews for three years. If they determine that additional measures are warranted, they would have two years to draft and finalize rules that outline new requirements and present a detailed implementation roadmap to Congress. NVIDIA has noted that its current architectures are not built for post-sale tracking, and adding such a capability could delay product launch schedules and increase development costs. AMD and Intel are likely to face similar obstacles, as integrating secure location-verification may require redesigning sensitive intellectual property and altering established supply-chain processes.

NVIDIA AI Blueprint for 3D-Guided Generative AI Allows Controlled Composition

AI-powered image generation has progressed at a remarkable pace—from early examples of models creating images of humans with too many fingers to now producing strikingly photorealistic visuals. Even with such leaps, one challenge remains: achieving creative control. Creating scenes using text has gotten easier, no longer requiring complex descriptions—and models have improved alignment to prompts. But describing finer details like composition, camera angles and object placement with text alone is hard, and making adjustments is even more complex.

Advanced workflows using ControlNets—tools that enhance image generation by providing greater control over the output—offer solutions, but their setup complexity limits broader accessibility. To help overcome these challenges and fast-track access to advanced AI capabilities, NVIDIA at the CES trade show earlier this year announced the NVIDIA AI Blueprint for 3D-guided generative AI for RTX PCs. This sample workflow includes everything needed to start generating images with full composition control. Users can download the new Blueprint today.

Yeston Launches GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Sakura Atlantis OC Model in China

Yeston teased GeForce RTX 50-series Sakura Atlantis and Game Ace card designs back in January, but it has taken a while—for this Chinese manufacturer—to actually get finalized retail stock out there. A slightly underwhelming stopgap arrived in the form of the brand's Deluxe series; launched earlier this month. In fact, these uncharacteristically standard black options are just barely rebadged Gainward Phoenix products. Yeston's brighter truly in-house designs have gained plenty of media attention over the past three months, albeit mainly from their custom AMD graphics card portfolio. As spotted by VideoCardz, Yeston's social media accounts have announced the retail launch of: "(our) GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Sakura Atlantis OC is now online! She is finally here! You can search and buy it in the official flagship stores of major platforms! Come and see if this is your dream love."

The freshly released NVIDIA "Blackwell" GB203 GPU-based model seems to sport a familiar enclosure, but Yeston has updated this variant with the usual GeForce tags. A different "waifu" (or "icon") illustration adorns the card's backplate (with different cutouts); thus making this SKU somewhat visually distinct from Radeon RX 9070 series equivalents. Industry observers believe that the new generation Sakura Atlantis triple-fan cooling solution is robust enough to temper larger GPU dies; Yeston could be working on a GeForce RTX 5080 variant. The company has not made much noise about Team Green-powered Sakura (non-Atlantis) and Game Ace product lines, since issuing their mid-January teaser. In the meantime, Chinese buyers will get to experience the sights and smells of a very special option. Yeston's Weibo account previewed this experience: "something exciting is coming your way. Yes, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Sakura Atlantis is here! Ocean flavor (scent), new back panel design, and a chameleon spray paint process. Keep following for more information!" VideoCardz reckons that there is a likelihood of this particular SKU turning up for sale in the States; but it could take a while before stock arrives at warehouses (e.g. Newegg).

Parts of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU PCB Reach Over 100°C: Report

Igor's Lab has run independent testing and thermal analysis of NVIDIA's latest GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards, including the add-in card partner design RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5060 Ti, which are now attracting attention for surprising thermal "hotspots" on the back of their PCBs. These hotspots are just the areas on PCB that get hot under load, and not the "Hot Spot" sensor NVIDIA removed with RTX 50 series. Infrared tests have shown temperatures climbing above 100°C in the power delivery region, even though the GPU die stays below 80°C. This isn't a problem with the silicon but with concentrated heating in clusters of thin copper planes and via arrays. Card makers like Palit, PNY, and MSI have all seen the same issue since they closely follow NVIDIA's reference PCB layout and use similar cooler mounting. A big part of the trouble comes down to how PCB designers and cooler engineers work separately.

NVIDIA's Thermal Design Guide gives AIC partners detailed power-loss budgets, listing worst-case dissipation for the GPU, memory, NVVDD and FBVDDQ rails, inductors, MOSFETs, and other components, and it recommends ideal thermal interface materials and mounting pressures. The guide assumes that even heat is spreading and that there is perfect airflow in a wind tunnel, but actual consumer PCs don't match those conditions. Multi-layer PCBs force high currents through 35 to 70 µm copper layers, which join at tight via clusters under the VRMs. Without dedicated thermal bridges or reinforced vias, these areas become bottlenecks where heat builds up, and the standard backplate plus heat-pipe layout can't pull it away fast enough.

NVIDIA DLSS Technology is Now Present in Almost 770 Games and Applications

Today, NVIDIA confirmed that its Deep Learning Super Sampling technology (DLSS) boasts native support in 769 games and applications, reinforcing its lead over competing upscaling suites from AMD and Intel. With the addition of six newly announced titles, including the open‑world survival MMO RuneScape: Dragonwilds, DLSS's ecosystem continues to expand rapidly. Since its debut alongside the RTX 20 series in 2018, DLSS has evolved from a single AI‑powered upscaling method into a comprehensive toolkit. The current DLSS 4 iteration introduces Multi‑Frame Generation (MFG) and DLSS Transformers, delivering sharper images and smoother frame rates than earlier convolutional neural network modes. On supported RTX 40‑ and 50‑series GPUs, gamers can now take advantage of frame generation, denoising enhancements via ray reconstruction, and AI‑driven anti‑aliasing.

Of the six titles highlighted in NVIDIA's latest blog post, Steel Seed from Storm in a Teacup is the first to ship with DLSS 4's MFG. RuneScape: Dragonwilds, The Talos Principle: Reawakened, and Tempest Rising have added DLSS 3's frame‑generation and Super Resolution features, while indie releases Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Commandos: Origins deploy DLSS 2's Super Resolution alone. These incremental rollouts demonstrate how studios of all sizes are integrating NVIDIA's upscaling techniques at varying depths. By contrast, AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) and Intel's Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) toolkits support 356 and 161 titles, respectively. While AMD's FSR 4.0 can override older versions, its adoption remains focused on basic upscaling without frame generation, and XeSS continues to trail in overall scope. NVIDIA's manual override in its GeForce Experience app further widens the gap, allowing engineers to retrofit MFG into titles whose developers have yet to implement it natively.

NVIDIA Releases 108 GB UE5 Path‑Tracing Demo "Zorah"

Today, NVIDIA made its tech demo Zorah, A New Era of Rendering, available as a free 108 GB download. Built for Unreal Engine 5, Zorah shows off the sheer power of the new Blackwell architecture, led by the GeForce RTX 5090 and its neural rendering capabilities. After debuting the first version at CES 2025 and refining it at GDC, the company has now opened the doors for anyone with a fast connection and enough storage to explore it firsthand. Downloading the project takes about 15 minutes on a Gigabit link, after which you can fire up Unreal Engine 5 (available from the Epic Games Store) and dive straight into the demo. Once it's running, you'll find yourself in a scene built from nearly 500 million triangles, more than 30,000 materials, over 2,000 particle lights, and 1,500 textures. All of that horsepower would grind any GPU to a halt without NVIDIA's suite of neural tricks.

At the core of Zorah's performance are features like DLSS 4 with frame generation, a Transformer‑based AI model, and the full set of RTX Neural Shaders. These small neural networks run right inside the shaders, creating textures, materials, lighting volumes, and even hair detail in real time. Supporting tools such as RTX Texture Filter, Neural Material networks, Neural Texture Compression, Character Rendering, Neural Faces, Neural Hair, and Mega Geometry help round out the package, delivering visuals that look every bit as rich as big‑budget CGI. That level of efficiency shows how neural rendering can boost image quality and interactivity without hogging resources. NVIDIA hopes developers will experiment with these new tools and push game graphics into what the company calls a new era. If you have a modern RTX 5090 rig and a bit of patience, you can see that future for yourself. Click here to start the 108 GB download.
