The Lancool 217 is Lian Li's latest addition to the Lancool series. History has shown that the brand is really focusing on releasing fewer cases in a classic "quality vs. quantity" fashion. As such, the last case of this series we reviewed—the Lancool 207—really left a great impression. The Lancool 217 in turn is a spiritual successor of the Lancool 216, which launched around three years ago. It sports some of the key elements of that numbering scheme but also combines plenty of the USPs we have seen in the more compact 207. On top of that the Lancool 217 evolves in terms of the material mix by including wood elements. As with most other Lancool enclosures, you can get the Lancool 217 in either all black or white. We received the black variant for review.
